Can the Dwight Howard Drama be fake?

Some people are coming to the defense of embattled Washington Wizards big man Dwight Howard amidst all the harassment accusations being hurled at him by alleged former girlfriend Masin Elije. A number of Twitter users have tried to expose Elije for supposedly being a scam artist.

According to a user that goes by the handle @TurntMinaj, this is actually not the first time Elije has tried to accuse a prominent personality for allegedly being gay.

According to the tweet, Elije had the exact same M.O. last year when she claimed to have a romantic relationship with hip-hop artist Palyboi Carti. That reportedly did not turn out well for Elije, as the DM conversation she posted was allegedly proven to be fake.

If there is any truth to this claim, then it is possible that Elije is also doing the same thing to Dwight Howard here. She may actually turn out to be a peddler of lies and false accusations just for the sake of getting her 15 minutes of fame.

Another Twitter user accused Elije of being a scammer. According to @AllyiahsFace, Elije duped her friend into giving Elije $300 for a camera that was never delivered.

This is a blatant attack on Elije’s character, and again, if this holds any truth, it points to the fact that Elije is indeed a fraud.

Nevertheless, even if both of these accusations are true, it only moves to discredit Elije. These, however, fail to disprove Elije’s audacious claims against Howard.

This is definitely turning out to be a very strange development, and it will surely have an adverse effect on Dwight Howard and his career. The 6-foot-11 center is still dealing with a back issue and has been out of commission for the Wizards for the past three games. It will definitely be interesting to see how he faces the media on his first public appearance following this bombshell.
