So as everyone knows the warriors have been the main dynasty in the NBA the last couple of years and will probably remain pretty dominant for the next couple of years. But… Who’s next?

5. Sacramento Kings

At number 5 we have the Sacramento Kings. The kings have been in a rebuilding phase ever since trading Demarcus Cousins to the pelicans. Their 2 most recent draft picks however, De’aaron Fox and Marvin Bagely have a ton of potential. De’aaron fox was selected 5th overall by the Kings. He averaged 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists. Those are solid numbers for a rookie on a struggling team. Most recently they drafted Marvin Bagley. Bagley averaged 8.7 points, 2 blocks and 5.3 rebounds. He proved to be a dominant big man showing flashes of an elite scorer and defensive player. The kings have a ton of young talent to accompany Bagley and Fox such as Frank Mason, Buddy Hield and Justin Jackson. If their young players pan out the Kings could become a future dynasty.

4. Phoenix Suns

At number 4 we have the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have been working on surrounding their young star in Devin Booker. After they successfully signed him to a contract extension things have been looking bright for them. As for Booker’s playing ability that goes without saying as he is the youngest player to score over 50 points in the history of the NBA and the second most points scored since Kobe in 2006 (81). The Suns also have first overall draft pick this past year Deandre Ayton who has a ton of potential. Ayton as a big man combined with Booker’s scoring ability could prove to be very successful in the near future. On top of that they have another young talent in Josh Jackson who’s defensive ability can come into play for Phoenix.

3. Los Angeles Lakers

Before Lebron ever joined the Lakers they already had a solid young core in place comprised of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart. Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart were both summer league MVPs while Kuzma was in the running for ROTY. Brandon Ingram has also showed flashes of an elite scorer and tremendous improvement in his shooting percentages and offensive play making. If this young core can stay intact while learning from Lebron and other veterans on the team they could prove to be one of the best teams in the NBA in the future.

2. Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers have already proved themselves to be an elite team in the NBA but still definitely have room for improvement. Their star-studded young core is already top tier but most of their players are heavily under developed. The biggest wildcard here is obviously staying healthy which has always been difficult for the Sixers, especially with their main superstar in Joel Embiid. When Embiid is healthy he is easily one of the best centers in the league while also being one of the youngest. Next up is Ben Simmons. Simmons missed his whole first season in the NBA due to a foot injury. When he came back though he had a stellar season while winning rookie of the year. He had a great rookie season establishing himself as one of the leagues best passers and drivers. His biggest weakness however was his shooting. He attempted 0 three-pointers all season and rarely took any mid range shots. If he could prove himself to be a shooter as well as an elite ball handler he could be a scary sight as a 6’10” point guard. Finally there is Markelle Fultz. There has been a ton of controversy surrounding Fultz and I don’t think anyone is quite sure what happened with his shoulder injury and shot form. There have been reports from his trainer and other sources around the NBA however that he is at 100% and should have a great season. If those 3 players can pan out Philadelphia may become the team to beat.

1. Boston Celtics

The Celtics dynasty is closer to happening right now than any of the other previous teams. The Celtics are arguably already the best team in the Eastern Conference with the Raptors. Last year their 2 main stars Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving missed most of the season with injuries. Yet they still made the ECF and went 7 games with Lebron and the Cavs. Their young talented players such as Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, who both proved themselves in the playoffs carrying their team through the east, along with many players in their prime such as Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving could prove to be a dynasty sooner rather than later.
