BREAKING NEWS: Spurs Legend Manu Ginobili announces retirement

Today is a day that will be remembered by basketball fans across the globe. Emanuel David Ginobili has called it quits after 23 years of playing professional basketball. “Manu” was a force to be reckoned with, playing shooting guard and leading the Spurs to four NBA championships. He revolutionized one of the most effective scoring maneuvers today known as the “euro step” and played his hardest, giving his all to the city of San Antonio. Throughout his international career, he played for Argentina, his home country, winning the FIBA America cup MVP, the gold medal in the 2004 Olympics, and a host of other awards. Ginobili tweeted today, “…IMMENSE GRATITUDE to everyone (family, friends, teammates, coaches, staff, fans) involved in my life in the last 23 years. San Antonio Spurs v New York KnicksIt’s been a fabulous journey. Way beyond my wildest dreams.” I will surely miss this fantastic man for both the values he brought to the league as well as his amazing talent.  So my dear friends allow the bridges holding your tears to collapse. From dramatically blocking James Harden’s three-point attempt in the final seconds of Game 5 of the 2017 Western Semifinals to nailing countless threes in the Spurs’ 2014 championship run and everything in between, we all enjoyed it. ENJOY RETIREMENT MANU YOU HAVE EARNED IT!!!
