How far can OKC go?

With the disappointment of the 2017-2018 season for the OK3, the new season brings new opportunities. With Melo now gone, Russ and PG13 can now form a more dynamic duo and can boast about one of the best benches in the NBA, with the additions of Dennis Shroeder and Nerlens Noel. Having won a disappointing 48 games last year, the Thunder fans will hope the new team to challenge for 55-60 wins gaining at least a 3 seed in the stacked Western Conference. The Thunder are also rumoured to be in the market for a solid 3-D wing in the form of Knicks guard Courtney Lee, this move could involve Alex Abrines, Kyle Singler and a future second round pick. Lee would add yet another boost on the bench and mean the pressure from the Thunder would be unrelenting, with constant pressure from both the starting and bench units. With the new season quickly approaching, how well the Thunder will do is highly anticipated, as it is somewhat unknown how good this team, and especially Russ and PG as a duo rather than having to also deal with creating shots for Carmelo Anthony, whose 15 years in the league began to show last year. Centered around a strong defensive core with a capable defensive players such as Russ, PG, Andre Roberson and Steven Adams, it should be an exciting season for the Thunder.
