Celtics star, Jayson Tatum Gets His High School Jersey Retired

Friday, August 17th. Celtics rising star, Jayson Tatum, got his high school basketball jersey retired. Jayson Tatum (age 20) graduated high school at “Chaminade College Preparatory School” in 2016.

Tatum was able to break records during himages (1)is high school days. Tatum holds a school history record of, 2,676 points. Tatum also grabbed a school record, 1,028 rebounds.

To this day, the Celtics star sits alone at the top in the schools scoring, and rebounding totals. In fact, Jayson Tatum is the only player in Chaminade history to achieve 2,000 points, and 1,000 rebounds. That is quiet impressive.

Blessed as can be. Jayson Tatum soaked it all in with an Instagram post that read, “I’ve never been entitled, and I take nothing for granted. This has always been a dream of mine, to be able to be in the moment, and live out my dream is a blessing!”

 

Jayson Tatum wore the number 22 in high school before he went on to play one season at Duke. Jayson Tatum was then drafted third overall by the Boston Celtics.

Jayson Tatum would finish top three in the Rookie Of The Year race. Tatum averaged 13.9 points a game with 5 rebounds a game to go along. Jayson Tatum also lead the Celtics in points during the Eastern Conference Finals.
